Code of Conduct

Toronto Atlantic FC is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful soccer environment for all players, coaches, parents, and supporters. This Code of Conduct is based on the principles outlined by Ontario Soccer and must be adhered to by all members of our club.

1. Player Conduct

As a player of Toronto Atlantic FC, I agree to:

  • Show respect for my teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents at all times.

  • Play fairly and follow the rules of the game.

  • Accept the decisions of the referees and officials without arguing or complaining.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and support my teammates.

  • Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language.

  • Avoid any form of violent or aggressive behavior, including bullying and intimidation.

  • Attend practices and games punctually, prepared, and with a commitment to improving.

  • Represent Toronto Atlantic FC with sportsmanship and integrity both on and off the field.

2. Parent/Guardian Conduct

As a parent/guardian of a Toronto Atlantic FC player, I agree to:

  • Encourage my child’s development in a positive and supportive manner.

  • Respect all players, coaches, referees, and parents, regardless of team affiliation.

  • Refrain from coaching from the sidelines or interfering with team management.

  • Accept the decisions of referees and officials without confrontation.

  • Promote good sportsmanship and lead by example.

  • Address concerns privately with coaches or club officials at an appropriate time.

  • Ensure my child arrives at practices and games on time and prepared.

3. Coach Conduct

As a coach of Toronto Atlantic FC, I agree to:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all players.

  • Treat all players fairly and provide equal development opportunities.

  • Lead by example and uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship.

  • Respect referees, players, and parents while promoting fair play.

  • Encourage skill development, teamwork, and a passion for soccer.

  • Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and prioritize player well-being.

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents and players.

4. Spectator Conduct

As a spectator at Toronto Atlantic FC events, I agree to:

  • Cheer in a positive manner and encourage fair play.

  • Respect all players, coaches, referees, and other spectators.

  • Refrain from criticizing referees or engaging in negative behavior.

  • Avoid using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language.

  • Support an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.

5. Consequences of Violations

Any violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal or written warnings.

  • Suspension from practices, games, or club activities.

  • Permanent removal from Toronto Atlantic FC, depending on the severity of the offense.

All participants, parents, coaches, and spectators must acknowledge and abide by this Code of Conduct to ensure a positive and enjoyable soccer experience for all.
